And recently, Korean media reported that KeSPA has proposed 8 criteria to select players for Korean Esports teams at the upcoming Asiad.
1. Gaming skills/competition abilities.
2. Contribute to the team.
3. Potential and development prospects.
4. Experience at international tournaments.
5. Have a sense of responsibility to the country.
6. Personal parameters in the last 3 months to 1 season.
7. Rank level (here is Korean rank).
8. Contributed to Korean Esports.
In fact, besides criteria such as gaming skills, competition or contribution to the team, personal parameters, rank…, there are criteria that can cause difficulties for young T1 stars.
Next, two names, Oner and Gumayusi, will be able to `pop up` in the criteria `Contribution to Korean Esports`.
In addition, both Gumayusi and Oner only participated in one international tournament for the first time (World Championship 2021).
Looking more strictly, even Keria is in danger in the `Contribution to Korean Esports` criterion, because Keria currently does not have any titles, except for the recent LCK Spring 2022.
In the entire T1 team, the only person who fully meets all 8 criteria above is Faker. More broadly, we can consider Keria.
